Tropea Onions originated in the Calabria region of Italy and are named after the beach town of Tropea, a region famous for its sweet red onions. They are the first
harvested onions during the summer, thus haven’t been cured, and contain a bit more moisture and crunch. They’re great for salads, pizzas and onion rings
